Alienware X15 And X17 Gaming Laptop: Price, Specification, And Details

 Dell announced that the new Alienware X17 gaming laptop is their thinnest ever 17-inch laptop. It is all possible because of its new cooling technology. Both laptops Alienware X15 and X17, are high-end powerful gaming laptops. Now Alienware has granted more details on the X15 second version and new X17. The name is related to their display sizes.

Design And Build

Design on both X15 and X17 laptops is above the mark. You will get a great look because of the grilles. The laptop has grilles everywhere that makes it unique. There will be a logo on the top of the keyboard deck. Actually, it is a power button that looks like the Alienware logo.

The power input port is on the left, and on the other hand, the headphone port is on the right side. It is the same for both models X15 and X17. There are also several ports, but these ports are not the same on both models. Generally, it has USB-C and USB-A ports, Thunderbolt, Micro SD cards, and HDMI ports in X15. The X17 model has more ports, such as a mini display port as well as an ethernet port.

Display

The names of both laptops correlate with their display sizes. You will get a 15.6-inch display on the X15. Similarly, you will get a 17.3-inch display on the X17 laptop.

First of all, you will get a customizable RGB lights option. Most importantly, there is also a colored touchpad. It may be either cool or too much for a gaming laptop. In short, this laptop has an LED touchpad.

Both laptops, X15 and X17, come with an Intel i7 or i9 processor. The Alienware X17 and X17 have got the same chipset, but X17 has more power. It is because of more power and boosted clock speeds, etc.

Battery

Alienware X15 has an 87 Wh battery. It also supports 240W charging. It has a small adapter. Similarly, The X17 has an 87 Wh battery, but it comes with both 240 and 330 W charging power capacity. The charging capacity depends upon your X17 variant.

Other Features

This laptop has a quad fan setup that provides a great cooling system. These new laptops also have some cool animations. This technology is named Alienware cryo-tech cooling technology. Both X15 and X17 models have webcams. These webcams work pretty well.

Price

These laptops will be available from June 1st. In limited configurations, however, more options will be available from June 15th. The Alienware X15 base model will start at $1999. On the other hand, Alienware X17 will be starting at $2099.

Conclusion

The price is good for an Intel i7 3060 laptop. Maybe you are also paying for the branding. However, the price range is very similar to other gaming laptops with matching specifications.
