WhatsApp Web Gets New Photo Editing Tool
If you use WhatsApp on the web, there’s good news for you. Users may now edit pictures before sharing them on WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp Desktop. Previously exclusively accessible on the mobile app, users may trim or apply stickers before sending the picture from the web app. However, the new feature is not yet available to all users.
Users noticed the photo editing tools
According to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp updates, the WhatsApp web and desktop apps will receive new editing tools. These editing or drawing tools will allow WhatsApp users to edit a photo before sending it through WhatsApp web or desktop. Android and iOS users are already using these tools.
Editing pics are now possible on web app
After receiving drawing tools, WhatsApp users will be able to do basic editing before sending a photo. The most frequently used tool is for cropping or rotating photos. On top of the image, users can write text or use emojis. Users of WhatsApp Web and Desktop may be able to add stickers. Now user’s pics are going to get more attention from the receiver with these new options available on the app.
Android Beta version discovers a new set of Emoji
WhatsApp users on Android devices may soon see new emojis in the app. These new emojis are included in the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android, 2.21.16.10. These emojis were added to the Unicode Consortium in July, and they are accessible on iPhones from April 2021 as part of the iOS 14.5 release. There were 217 new emojis, including Face in Clouds and Face with Spiral Eyes, couple emojis with various skin tones, lovers kissing. Now users have more options for sharing their emotions through emoticons as new recruits are here in the emoji army.
WhatsApp web witnessed Multi-Device Support
WhatsApp users have also been clamoring for a multi-device support feature for quite some time. The company is also testing this feature in beta versions on various platforms, and the WhatsApp web has changed as a result. Currently, the function is only accessible to beta testers, but it will soon be available to all users. This will allow you to log in from your WhatsApp account on more than one device. This will resolve the problem of people who are using multiple devices and not able to access WhatsApp on multiple devices.
Is WhatsApp Web coming towards an end?
The multi-device feature is a more significant upgrade than WhatsApp Web, raising questions about whether WhatsApp Web will remain available. According to TechRadar, WhatsApp has no plans to remove the old feature at this time. “WhatsApp web will continue to be an important part of our platform’s users,” a WhatsApp spokesperson said. That is, multi-device support is so obvious that WhatsApp will not be a replacement for the web.
WhatsApp is still the best and widely used messaging app. With regular updates, the company tries to enhance the user experience. When a platform also works on web versions of the app, it simply tells that the company is treating all the users equally and wants to give them the best experience with the app. Web users who are worried about the discontinuation of WhatsApp Web, relief came from WhatsApp as many users don’t want to download the app. They simply log in through the Web version.
